Overview
Ladakh is a high-altitude desert in the Indian Himalaya, with dramatic mountain passes, Tibetan Buddhist monasteries and deep blue lakes. This tour starts with a rest day in Leh to adjust to the altitude, then explores the Indus valley, crosses Khardung La into the Nubra Valley and ends at Pangong Lake.
The drives are long but spectacular, and the monasteries, villages and landscapes make it one of the great road journeys of Asia. Permits are required for Nubra and Pangong, and we arrange them.
