This tour links two of Nepal’s loveliest hill destinations. Nagarkot, on the eastern rim of the Kathmandu Valley, is known for sunrise over a long line of Himalayan peaks. Bandipur, perched on a ridge between Kathmandu and Pokhara, is a car-free Newar hill town with beautifully preserved shopfronts and a relaxed pace.
We begin with a visit to Bhaktapur, a medieval city of temples, brick lanes and pottery squares. From there we continue to Nagarkot for the night, then travel west to Bandipur for walks, caves and local food.
It is a gentle trip with plenty of free time, ideal for families, couples and anyone who wants culture and mountain views without trekking.
