Overview
This tour takes in the best of western Bhutan at an easy pace. You will visit the historic dzongs of Paro and Punakha, see Thimphu, and spend time in the wide Phobjikha valley, a glacial bowl with farms, forest and the beautiful Gangtey Monastery.
In winter, from about November to February, the valley hosts black-necked cranes that migrate from Tibet. The tour suits couples, small families and anyone who wants a gentle introduction to Bhutan with time for nature walks.
